What the h*ck is going on?

Hey y'all! This summer has been unlike any other summer I've ever had. I experienced some unidentified stomach issues that landed me in urgent care and I was miraculously healed! I taught kindergarten for precisely one week (insert maniacal laughter). I went camping, hiking, kayaking, coffee-drinking, and dancing. I saw Niagara Falls, the Great Salt Lake, and a double rainbow! One time, I even got in a fist fight with a great white shark (One of these things may not have happened... but I'll leave it up to you to figure out which one it is). Anyway, I'll stop rambling.

I've got BIG news...

seriously big biG bIG BIG news!

 I GOT A NEW HAT!

Now that we got that covered, there's some even bigger news about the World Race. 

WE ARE ABOUT TO LAUNCH ! ! !

(*cue NASA countdown*)

TODAY officially marks 2 weeks from launch (training camp/world race kick-off)! I am currently at my host family's home in Tulsa where I will only be for one more week  :(   I have loved every minute of living here this summer. Next Friday, I will be flying home to Houston where I will be spending my last week with my family. After that week home in Houston, I will fly to Atlanta for LAUNCH & training camp. My squad and I will follow training camp up with about 11 months of world travel and then after that, I'll buy a ranch, fill it with a variety of rescued ponies, and enjoy a quiet retirement. 

When (or if) I survive 2-ish weeks of training camp, I will then pack my bags and officially leave the country alongside my entire squad! This may bring you to ask the question, "Where are you going???" Well, my friends, for the first time ever my answer to that question is NOT, "I have no clue."

My new answer to that question is actually, "I sorta might have a clue, but honestly, anything could happen." The key word here is

Summer shenanigans and a quickly approaching LAUNCH aren't all that's going on 'round these parts. The good news doesn't stop here! 

Now, because we are pretty good friends, I'll let you in on the secret.
